Humble Hive Co. was born in 2021 in our mountain cabin in Colorado. Today, we have expanded our offerings and are Sunbird Collective-a curated collection of not only our own handmade body care goods, but skillfully crafted goods from Makers around the world.
My inspiration has always been fueled by the wild childhood Summers I spent living like a cowgirl on the foothills of Wyoming. There, I found my connection to the land, a desire to go back to simpler times, and healing for my mind, body and spirit. Today I continue to be inspired by the American West, in all her rugged beauty, and hope to share my love for nature through each handcrafted, hand selected piece you receive from our small shop. We have crafted products with all ages, conditions, and preferences in mind. We offer a variety of blends in our apothecary that are suitable for newborn babies to those with the most sensitive of skin. All of our products are made by a momma with mommas and littles at the heartbeat of our mission.
Tallow Made The Traditional Way
We render our tallow the old way—low and slow, by hand, with no water, no chemicals, and no shortcuts. This traditional dry method honors the fat as it was once treated: with care, patience, and purpose. It’s rare to find tallow made like this today—most is stripped, bleached, or sourced without intention. Ours is different. You can feel it in the scent, the softness, the way it sinks into skin like it remembers.
Artisan Goods Made With Skill + Purpose
We were tired of finding products only made by large manufacturers on the other side of the world, with unknown working conditions and standards. We want to restore the days of old and excellent craftsmanship, and offer our customers quality products made by small businesses with a heart for their trade. We prioritize USA based brands, organic or natural fibers and animal products. We have hand selected our favorite Western inspired brands and products to share with you.
