artisan pure tallow soap

Meet our artisan tallow soap. Our pure tallow soap is wonderfully gentle and moisturizing, yet effective at cleansing. In the soaping process we add reverse osmosis water and Sodium Hydroxide (lye), and all of the lye is removed during the curing process. This leaves us with a simply organic bar of soap that is perfect for those with sensitive skin not wishing to strip their skin barrier but provide a gentle cleansing. Tallow soap is incredibly versatile and can not only be used on skin or fabrics, but makes an excellent dish soap as well. Pair it with one of our dish sponges and you will be pleasantly surprised by your dishes' shine! We recommend leaving your soap on a dish stone with good drainage, like our limestone dish.
