This is my absolute favourite and I will continue to purchase this. This has provided me with an immense amount of healing and comfort. My most recent order had a large air gap in one of the jars, but I reached out to customer service and will see how they respond. Aside from this, I really love it—Sunbird Collective is truly the best tallow company.
This review is completely unincentivized. I just genuinely feel this Sunbird Collective whip and balm deserves another review. These photos aren't pretty, but they’re raw proof of the immense healing this product has provided me. I suffered from a stubborn 6–7 month flare-up that kept getting worse over time. My doctor wanted to prescribe a topical corticosteroid, but I wanted to try a natural remedy first. This specific formula has worked wonders for my skin. While I wish I could afford to use it as freely as I need to, it is worth it, and I will always find a way to come back to it. Thank you for making such an incredible product!
Clearly I have become obsessed with the whole line of skincare! So the flora is my most reached for product and my kids also steal it and my husband uses it after swimming, which is a miracle. I have had MCAS and a massive health journey and I became so reactive to skincare. This product has been a luxury I have missed! And don’t skip their hydrosols either, the combo has been amazing for calming my skin without essential oils added! My most recent upgrade was the mask and on hot summer nights it is SO cooling. My 8 year old has done it twice this week after days in the sun. The products last so long, the price is so fair for what you get. I’m a lifer and I don’t even find myself browsing other ads online bc I know I don’t want any other skincare (which has never happened to me in my 40 years). I’m truly so thankful for this brand- it has given me a skincare routine again❤️
i really like this one. i was a little nervous about not liking the natural scent from the herbs, but i love it. it starts as basil and melts down to a sweeter scent like rose or chamomile. i love that it has that natural, grounded sweetness to it without essential oils. i personally don't smell the tallow. the texture of the flora is smooth and my skin drinks it up. i have sensitive, dry skin that is prone to eczema and occasional hormonal acne, and this feels very nourishing. to my surprise, it doesn't agitate active eczema flare-ups. before this, i've been loving the bloom, but this might’ve become the new go-to.
I love using Sunbird flora infused whipped tallow! I use it after my tretinoin and my skin drinks it up! It's such a great addition to my skincare routine.
I absolutely this tallow! My skin has never felt better. My night time routine constist of a gentle face wash, toner, and tallow. I have sensitive skin but I have no problems what so ever with any of Sunbird collectives tallows. I found that all of the products to be so hydrating and the best thing I've done with my skin care routine. I highly recommend!
Sunbird Collective has the best tallow whips you can buy! Some that I have purchased from other sellers have that “tallow” smell when you put them on, not these! 🤎 I also have Wild- it’s AMAZING ( probably my favorite I have ever purchased from anywhere) Sunbird balm, both the Wildflower and Highland chapsticks, Aspenglow- and everything had been super good. They are always going to have a spot on my shelf! I plan to purchase the Luna and Forager next. Definitely my favorite little shop to order from!
Love this whip! The smell is amazing and it glides on so smoothly and makes my face feel nourished and hydrated!
An absolute must have! We live in the high desert and this is the only product I use for body moisture as well as the only product I use on my 3 year old daughter for body and face. As someone with multiple allergies and sensitivities this is the only “lotion” that doesn’t make me itch. The whip is so luxurious. Love all of the whips but this one is perfect for us for how much time we spend in high elevation sunshine.
Love this stuff! A little bit goes a long way. You can feel it on your skin for a few minutes after application, but I love my skin soaking in all the pure ingredients. Once it absorbs, you can immediately feel a difference. My skin is much softer and has a glow to it.
This product was exactly what I needed to soothe my infant son’s dry, reactive skin—clean, gentle & effective! The owner was incredibly kind in helping me select the product that was right for us. We will be repeat customers for sure!
This is my 2nd month using tallow on my skin and I can honestly say that I’ll never go back to anything else. I’ve never experienced something that makes my skin feel like butter (in the best way) and so smooth. I’ve always struggled with acne and skin care products since I was a teen. I’m in my 30s now and found out about tallow 3 months ago. I just took the full dive and started using it and my skin stays smooth even during the time of the month when my skin wants to flare up. All I can say is if you were skeptical about using beef fat in your skin… just lean into that curiosity and give it a try! I think what’s most beautiful about this is how simple and easy it is to use and it lasts a while. A little goes a long way! I’ll be a lifelong buyer. Thank you!

I went through an entire 8oz jar of this while using it as a belly butter during my pregnancy. It smells great and the texture is heavenly. It feels like putting the silkiest frosting on my body, yet it somehow soaks in much quicker than shea butter or cocoa butter. I’m hooked!! I need to grab another 8oz jar for postpartum now!

I'm at a point where I don't think I can live without Sunbird whip :) I even started carrying a pouch just to ensure I always have some tallow whip at the ready. The texture is dreamy, and it is so hydrating and comforting to my honestly crusty skin.
Love this tallow whip. Smells so good and makes my face super soft without feeling super greasy. My face tends to break out sometimes and I've noticed less of it since using this product. 10/10 recommend. It's literally perfect.

I have had cystic acne and regular acne. I’ve never used tallow before because I’ve been told it might make my acne worse. Well, not much was actually helping my acne so I decided to try it. And I love it! I got rid of my other moisturizer, so I just cleanse, hydrosol, and tallow whip. My acne is clearing up, it’s a slow process but I do notice positive change. I also love the simple natural ingredients. It’s a little grainy at first but smooths out well on the face. Will be getting tallow from Sunbird for a long time now!
Just like everything Haley and her team makes, this product is a 10/10. The smell and texture is perfect. Her whips are one of the only products I make sure we're NEVER out of in our home.

This tallow is a lifesaver. It has helped clear my skin from acne and rosacea, and it's not as oily all the time (which means it's balanced and happy with the tallow). I recommend your product to everyone I can. I love supporting someone who actually cares about her product and the people she is influencing. You are doing a good thing here. I haven't used tallow before and I ordered this. I should have done my research on the product and bought one that was infused with essential oils rather than herbs. So I lathered some on my face and an hour later I practically regretted it. However hat was my doing. I smelt like tallow most of the day.. I would be interested in trying a different one with oil infusion rather than herb infusion. I do like it however.

While everyone's sensitivities and olfactory systems vary, we do pride ourselves in having a very low "tallow" scent profile with our traditional rendering methods an techniques compared to many other brands. This can also vary from batch to batch in moderation as the age, grass diet and time of year can deliver a different scent in the animal's fat. We do recommend an essential oil blend for those wanting a more scented whip-Mountain Mist, Bloom, Butterfly or Flower Child would be a great option for you to try next. Thank you for your feedback!

Amazing products. There was a slight snafu with my most recent order and it was immediately fixed. The customer service has always been outstanding and prompt in my last 14 months of ordering, so I had no doubt the slight issue would also be resolved quickly and it was. It is worth it!
Very light smell and I ordered scented flora. Shipping took longer then expected but I love it! I would definitely recommend
This is hands down my favorite tallow. I have used several other brands, but have used the sunbird whip for I think about 2 years now. I use it as a cleanser and moisturizer for my face, and body moisturizer after showering—and it works best for both face and body with the skin slightly damp. For facial cleansing I put about a thumbnail amount on, rub it in and wipe clean with a warm wet washcloth. (It’s great for makeup removal!) For day I just use a warm wet washcloth to gently wipe my face, then put tallow on—in varying amounts depending on the season. I’m in my late 40’s, and have tried so many things over the years, anti-aging products, “systems”, high end, low end you name it. It’s such a relief to have one product that I use for everything! It keeps my skin hydrated, it’s not too heavy for the humid summer months, but is still enough in the winter. If the winter weather is really dry I might reapply during the day or swap in a tallow balm, but I don’t have to do that often. It also works great with the gua sha if you like using one. I can’t recommend it enough, and it has seriously simplified my routine. I’ve learned that no product is going to turn back the clock, but hydration is the key to your skin looking good, and at 47 I get more compliments on my skin now than when I was using all of the usual products. My reason for switching to tallow in the first place was I began to have persistent reddish irritation on my face, since switching to tallow I don’t have issues with it at all. My teenage daughter also uses tallow without any issues of it being too greasy, you just have to play with the routine and amount that is right for your skin. All that to say, sunbird whip is my favorite, please don’t ever stop making it!
I love the feel and almost non existent smell of this creme, just smells like sunshine to me. Very rich and soothing. The texture is a beautiful whipped creme and a little goes a long way.
Really love this product, it feels good to know my skin is absorbing something that will support my body. My skin feels deeply moisturized and I don’t think I’ll go back to what I was using before.
This is my go to for cleaning and moisturizing my face daily! I had eczema on my face during pregnancy and this helped to clear it up and was a lot more gentle on my skin. Even postpartum dealing with more dry skin than pregnancy I have gotten compliments on my skin! I also use this as a whole body lotion post shower and for some love and care for my stretch marks and cesarean scar. The best TLC for mama!
The Sunbird Whip is so light and smells amazing. I use it on my face, neck and décolleté and it just melts into my skin. It makes my skin super soft and a little goes a long way.

Sunbird was my first purchase with Humble Hive Co. & It has been one of the best decisions I’ve made all year. My skin feels so soft, hydrated, moisturized, and just happy! I have cut out my entire skincare routine and only wash my face, then apply sunbird at night. I have the most sensitive skin, but with Sunbird, my skin is thriving! I highly recommend!
My favorite tallow whip. It keeps my skin hydrated and has helped improve the small red bumps on my arms. Have repurchased this many times and will continue to do so!
